Build a Mission
Leader Training Program/Center
It starts
with a church. Develops individuals as a team to lead an international
team for a mission project for a 3-month period in a variety and
multiple countries. This program is designed to attract Christians
whom desire to expand their leadership ability in church leadership,
missionary leadership, outreaches, and a variety of other functions
associated with the body of Christ.
|
This is not designed
as a new Christian training program and as such it is expected
that attending students will have a basic knowledge level of scripture
and have already demonstrated a Christian character and disciplined
life. Each student will be evaluated for enrollment based upon
completion of an application, criminal background check, pastoral
references, personal references, and recommendations from reliable
Christian sources as determined by the leadership of the Mission
Leader Training Center.
|
|
The curriculum will
consist of a variety of academic, seminar, laboratory, practicum,
ministry experiences, and outreaches throughout the world. Ideally
the students will reside on campus during the tenure of ministry
as a student. A primary objective of this program is team development
and cohesion. Therefore rare exceptions may be made to enable
students to participate while residing elsewhere. However, in
all cases the students will make a commitment to the Mission Leader
Training Center, and Cristo Vive International to fulfill one
full year of training and ministry in order to complete the cycle
of program. This commitment includes travel to other nations as
well as a short-term ministry possibly in the US or another nation.
(In most cases, family members will not be able to attend these
distant ministry locations.) There will be a graduating certificate
awarded upon completion of ministry cycle. Any student who fails
to complete any portion of the program will not receive credit
or a graduation certificate.
|
 |
Curriculum:
The academic portion of the training year will be divided between
classrooms, laboratory and practicums conducted on site and approved
sites throughout the region of study. Typical course titles and
subjects would be: Leading through serving, team building, puppetry,
drama, praise and worship, activities, crafts, cultural identity,
program development and execution, ministry practicum, camp ministries
and more.
|
School
Year:
This program will begin on the third Wednesday of September and
graduation will be on August 31 (or the last weekday of August if
the 31st is on a weekend commensurate with Labor day) the following
year. Students will be given scheduled breaks in the school year
for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and during the month of May.
A typical school weekend will look something like this: Wednesday
